Roadtrip 2015 Fall: Vancouver - Astoria - Bandon - Anderson - Paso Robles - Palm Desert - Morongo Valley - Sedona - Henderson - Lone Pine - Sacramento - Ashland - Newport - Astoria - Vancouver

Day 3 - Bandon

The offshore fog bank is as rippled as the dunes.

Emma always gets a new toy from Pet Smart on these trips. This year, it's that red ball. Did we mention there ain't nuthin' like a day at the beach?

The mysterious cloudfish appears once more in the skies over the Seven Devils.

It's already time for Timeless.

Ain't nuthin' like a slightly dated motel room.

Beauty in every corner.

The motel room comes equipped with a requisite shadowy character.

It's all just for Steven Shore.

The World-Famous Most Dangerous Stairway In The World. Nobody has ever made it past that bench. Most people take one look and run away.

Just in case you might have made it to the bottom of The Most Dangerous Stairway In The World, here's the Rules and Regulations.

Everyone is spellbound by the crazy antics of the green dogball.

Installation - by nature.

This is one rock that doesn't roll.

And then the fog rolls in.

It tickles the Bandon sea stacks.

And then the fog rolls out.

We are going to get that sunset after all - the anticipatory crowds arrive.

Tonight, the sunset photographers arrive early, and in force to stake out the bestest tripod holes at Face Rock.

The sky errupts - no one anticipated this show!

There are many tripod holes available.

This smart guy needs no stinking tripod.

To be fair to the legions of sunset photographers, sometimes the sunsets really are unbelievable.

It's hard to believe I missed this amazing attraction last night, and again this afternoon. Better late than never, I suppose. The Bandon Fish Market still makes the best fish n chips on the West Coast.
